On May 20, we successfully held the webinar “Together Against Disinformation & Propaganda”. Around 50 registered participants joined us from partner countries and across the EU, representing adult educators, researchers, NGOs, volunteers, and professionals working with vulnerable communities.

The discussion was deep, open, and highly meaningful. Together, we explored some of the most urgent challenges facing democratic societies today: the rise of AI-powered deep fakes, increasing social polarisation, the tension between misinformation control and freedom of speech, and the role of adult educators in preserving safe spaces for democratic dialogue, critical thinking, and respectful disagreement.

Each partner organisation contributed its own expertise and perspective:
- Non-formal learning club “WE” (Lithuania) introduced the overall objectives and educational methodology of the project.
- FENAN Consulting (Netherlands) presented the online course for adult educators building misinformationresilience among vulnerable adults.
- SMART Institute (Slovenia) presented the “Final Combat” game designed to help adults resist manipulation.
- Soyka NL demonstrated how AI-powered tools and chatbots can support communities in navigating complex information environments.
- People to People (Estonia) discussed emotional appeals and and strengthening media competences.
The webinar confirmed how urgently these topics are needed in adult education today. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to this important conversation. Together, we continue building stronger critical thinking, media literacy, and democratic resilience across Europe.
